Speaking after the contest Pipe Major Richard Parkes MBE said, “I am delighted that the band has won today in what was a very tight contest. The standard is rising each year and we are happy to be challenging for the top prizes. The hard work continues as our focus now turns to the MSRs in preparation for the next competition and we look forward to playing on home soil at the UK Championships in a couple of weeks.”
