• Aaron has won the Ulster Solo Championships and the Craigmount Solos at a junior level, and is a frequent prize winner both in Scotland and in Northern Ireland.

• His drumming tutors are Tommy Sloan, Steven McWhirter and Ian Lawson.

• Aaron’s favourite solo drummers are Barry Wilson and Blair Brown.

• He previously played with Finvoy Pipe Band where he won the World Pipe Band Championships in Grade 3A and the Cullybackey Pipe Band, where he won the World Championships in Grade 2, also winning the award for Best Drum Corps.

• On his spare Saturdays, Aaron is a supporter of the Glebe Rangers Football team.
