- Donald is
a successful and well respected reed maker with many top soloists playing
his reeds and winning the top prizes.
- In 2005,
Donald won the Northern Meeting Gold Medal to add to an already impressive
list of prizes on the solo circuit.
- Some
major influences on his piping career include Mike Cusack, Andrew Wright and
Willie McCallum.
- Donald
started piping at the age of 4 and has also found time to play the
saxophone.
- He was
previously with the ScottishPower Pipe Band winning the Cowal and All
Ireland Pipe Band Championships.
