Megan
previously played with the Prince Charles Pipe Band of San Francisco and
Strathclyde Police Pipe Band.
She was
initially taught by Bill Merriman and later by Bruce Woodley. She currently
receives tuition in both Piobaireachd and light music from Willie McCallum.
Megan is
classically trained on the concert flute, and has played in both symphonic
and jazz orchestras.
Megan has an MA Honours degree in English Literature and Philosophy from
Glasgow University. She works as the Development Officer for the National
Piping Centre.
Her father
Jim has been a major influence on her piping career providing support and
encouragement.
Megan’s favourite food is
sushi, and of course she would never turn down a cold pint!
