He is
married to Margaret Dunn (aka Houlihan) who is a well known piper on the
solo circuit.

Alastair has a Masters Degree in Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering. He
is General Manager at R G Hardie and plays a set of PH5H Peter Henderson
bagpipes.

He is a frequent prize winner on the professional solo circuit with his main
successes including the Gold and Silver Medals at the Northern Meeting,
Metro Cup (Piobaireachd) New York and the 'A' Grade Piobaireachd, London.

He was initially taught by Freddy Russell and now receives tuition from Roddy MacLeod MBE.

His favourite set is Stevie's First Bar and The Three Devils hornpipes by
Ryan Canning.
